The amendments to the Flood Ordinance are being proposed in order to make the ordinance consistent with the changes to the State Building Code that went into effect on October 1.  Additionally, the amended language clarifies the exemption for certain historic structures from substantial improvement requirements as long as the alteration will not preclude the structure’s continued designation as a historic structure.
