Borough of Fenwick Plan of Conservation and Development

Borough of Fenwick Plan of Conservation and Development

Connecticut General Statutes Section 8-23 requires each municipality to prepare and adopt a Plan of Conservation and Development (PoCD) at least once every ten years.  The Borough of Fenwick’s last PoCD was adopted September 27, 2007, which means it must be revisited and updated this year.  The Plan of Conservation and Development is intended to be a guide to local decision making in areas such as natural resources preservation, housing, land use, and public services.

The Planning and Zoning Commission has prepared a draft update to the 2007 PoCD.  This 2017 update essentially restates the goals of the 2007 Plan but updates them to meet current requirements.  A public hearing on the draft Plan will be held on Saturday, October 7 at 9:00 a.m. at 4 Nibang.  Residents may submit written comments or appear in person at the hearing to discuss the components of the Plan.
